The New Marquee
No Palace Theater could be complete without the beacon that lights the way - the Marquee. This next series of photos shows the marquee as it made it's way down to the final resting place. It has flashing lights, red neon clocks at both ends, yellow neon lettering and spot lights under the structure. It truly is a great piece of Americana artwork.
Steve was out on the road during the delivery but Donna and Mark were on hand. The street was blocked, the media was there and people parked in the lot across the street with lawn chairs out making a day of the event. Not much had happened on the street for a while leading up to the Palace Theater restoration project.
