Palace Theater Group Educational Programs

The unique setting of the Palace Theater can bring any type of programming to it's audience. Specialty programs to highlight subjects can be arranged . Historical events, old time movies, new movies, theater events and more. These are just some of the presentations now available and each of the shows can be adjusted to a specific topic.

Stage Classics

Marshall Andy Smalls of "Riders of the Silver Screen" which airs on Channels 2 and 15 on PBS host a real western show. Marshall Andy presents history of the Old West movies and cowboys. Film shorts, vintage comedy programs and of course, cowboy films are used to give the individual the feel of old time movie going.

Great Smoky Mountain National Park

Outreach Program

Through this partnership we can offer educational programs about the Park's resources. The hope is to provide a sense of stewardship for the environment. Programs about how the Park was created, animals and habitat and history of the Appalachian people can be selected.

Story Telling and Song

Nancy Brennan Strange- host of WUOT radio show "Mumblypeg" tells stories of many varieties. This Knoxville native recording artist brings her experience with Wolf Trap Early Learning Through The Arts program.

Stories and Songs with Sean McCollough

This talented musician and song writer shares his brand of traditional Appalachian folk and Celtic styles with all ages. He is a member of the music faculty at the University of Tennessee and a participating artist with the Jubilee Community Arts school age programs. His lively performance brings the audience into the music and brings the music out of all of us.
